This program is an extension of the Big Top Workshop. Skills are taught over a longer duration of time and allow for a culminating presentation by all participants. Training equipment can include, but is not limited to: juggling scarves, balls, rings, clubs, spinning plates, devil sticks, diablos, feathers, hula hoops, jump ropes, pogo sticks, unicycles, rolling globes, rolla bollas, stilts, and pedalos. Games, human stunts, clowning workshops and entertaining magic tricks can be taught in addition to this equipment. Throughout the residency, participants hone previously taught skills and receive encouragement to combine disciplines. A two week residency culminates with an exciting circus show for the community. Due to this programs focus, it has become a perfect match for schools, drama clubs, YMCA’s, Boy’s and Girl’s clubs, home school groups, vacation camps and the like.
